Anyone in the world Sloodle HUD has been developed and tested to enable Second Life users to blog from within the virtual environment, as an integrated tool. The Sloodle huusing a control panel and the texh chat window as input device. The early version of the Sloodle blog HUD demanded a separate login procedure for each connection.
Although I tested this tool with longer intervals, to allow debugging. I don't seem to have ever made just one successfull blog posting. There is now a new version, now called a Blog panel. This is supposed to ask for Moodle membershop identification just once, connecting your SL identity with your Sloodle account, on Moodle with a blog module. And, to generate an instant SLURL from where you can point to your location in SL.
My first attempt to try this out tonight was not very succesful. From in world I was able to open the Blog tool panel (still named a HUD). My login to the SloodleMoodle was then prompted, and matched with my SL ID account.I then was enbaled to use the text command line to mytext, and apparently this was sent to the Blog HUD form. But after ending my test message, and a click on Enter, I went to my Sloodlemoddle account, still there was no such blog post entry!
That's why I decided to write my report as a fresh blog post from inside Moodle, and to make this public; by default blog posts are private and could also be exclusive, for this Moodle users only. Better luck next time.
